What Made You Interested in Tiny Living?
Before jumping into your Tiny House journey, welcome! The Tiny House community is increasing worldwide, and we are so excited to share our knowledge within the community. To get the wheels turning on your tiny house journey, the team and I have created a few simple guides to make sure you're not alone. Follow along to find out how to start your tiny house journey.
I could talk all day about the benefits of tiny living, but you're already here, and they're probably partly the reason why. Whether it is for an environmentally conscious reason, relieving financial pressures, Airbnb, or you're on your way to your first home, we like to think there's something for everyone in tiny living. We'd love to hear what got your interest in the tiny lifestyle.

“This concept made me explore the extent of tiny living and I loved every second of it. Being space-efficient, living intentionally, and reducing unnecessary items is a goal of mine. I would dive right into this picture if I could!”

“Tiny homes hooked me when I realised that by living in a tiny house you can win back your time by having to work less since you’re paying less to get by every day and focus on doing the things you love! The Tiny Haus is a perfect example of a stunning entry-level tiny home to improve your life.”
Eujenne
“What I love about tiny homes are how versatile space can be. I love space efficiency, zero wastage and creating a space that has a multi-purpose, which is exactly what we've done for our DIY tiny house build - Haus of 99!”
Laurin
“I fell in love with tiny homes years ago when Eujenne and I met in 2016. We started planning our future together, of course, in a tiny home… The Haus of 99 is the perfect home we’ve designed to fit our work from home & free lifestyle! Excitingly, we’re completed DIYing our tiny home and we’re loving the tiny life!”
Step 1: Consider Your Day-to-Day Routines.
Before getting into designing, it's essential to take note of your routines, hobbies, habits, and what currently shapes your lifestyle. It may seem like a simple idea, but the more in-depth you think about this, the more likely your Tiny House will work perfectly for your lifestyle. For example, a Tiny House designed for a family would have different requirements to someone living alone as day-to-day life is entirely different. After all, your tiny house should work for your way of life, and you shouldn’t adjust your lifestyle to the tiny house instead!
We recommend taking note of your typical everyday routines;
Morning Routine
Work Day / During the Day
Evening & Night Routine
Weekend / Freetime
Why Should You Know Your Routines?
It may seem an unusual task to take note of your routines, and you're probably wondering how this connects to the design of your Tiny House. Let me reassure you that it is not a step you want to skip or forget if you want a design that accommodates your day-to-day life. Using these routines will help determine which tiny house design, layout, and features will best work for you... After all, you'll want a design that reflects your habits, hobbies, and lifestyle to make it truly feel like home.
Benefits of Routine-Informed Design
Here at Tiny Easy, we are interested in designing spaces that aid day-to-day routines the best they can. Our designs use routines to inspire room layouts, the sizes of rooms or areas, and the circulation inside a tiny home. Taking the time to know your routine will allow you to align these needs into your Tiny Home. After all, we are all about making the most out of tiny spaces!
Take note of these routines, consider them over the next few days (or weeks if you want to be super thorough) and refine them to ensure nothing is left out. Until then, keep your eyes peeled for the next step in creating your dream tiny house.
I can't wait to see you start your tiny house journey.
